Thanks so much for visiting, I’ll be glad to give you some information regarding your international move from Vancouver, British Columbia to San Jose, California. While we can't directly provide you with a moving company for your relocation, what we can do here at is provide you with a list of up to seven different moving companies that will then contact you regarding your move. All you have to do is fill out our simple quote form on the front page of our website and you'll be instantly connected with movers who will eager to assist you. Simply compare their quotes and make the best choice for you and your moving budget.
Your move, from Vancouver to San Jose, is classified as both a long distance move and an international move since it crosses international borders between the United States and Canada. Long distance moves can be expensive, and the costs involved with packing up your things and moving them can add up pretty quickly. There are many different fees associated with international moves, aside from the actual moving costs themselves, and even these fees can add up, depending on the size of your move.
Your move seems to be on the smaller side, judging by your description of a small storage locker, which means that your costs will be on the lower end of the scale. Your particular move is definitely a manageable one and one that should be easily handled by most international moving companies.
Here are some tips on how to make the best decision when it comes to hiring a moving company:
  • Always try to book your movers as far in advance as possible. You'll find that you get the best results if you book your movers as soon as you make the decision to move, at least 2 to 3 months prior to when you plan on moving. Trying to book moving labor only a day in advance will leave you with fewer options to choose from, so the earlier you get the ball rolling, the easier your move will be for you.
  • Compare quotes from at least three different moving companies. To get the best deal possible on your move, it's usually best to get estimates from at least three different movers before you make your choice. This will help you to compare the prices and the services offered by each company and will allow you to make the best decision for your move and your budget.
  • Don't be afraid to ask your movers questions. If you have any questions about your particular move or the moving process in general, don't be afraid to ask your movers.
