Hello, and thanks so much for visiting Topmoving.ca!

If you are having your car shipped, typically you must adhere to specific procedures in terms of preparing your vehicle for shipment, be it locally or internationally. Each company may have a different set of rules, but you can read our guide on general information on how to ship your automobile safely.

Personal Items

As far as personal belongings go, it is best to remove them when shipping your car. Depending on the type of service you choose, you will most likely have someone driving your vehicle onto the ship or trailer, and even if the service is trustworthy, it is better to be cautious when it comes to any valuables. Many auto shipping services will explicitly tell you to empty everything from your car that does not come stock. Motor vehicles are heavy, and the company does not want any unnecessary weight added to the shipment if it can be avoided.
