The medals
Canadian athletes are paid based on what medals they earned--gold medalists will earn $50,000; silver medalists will earn $20,000; and bronze medalists $10,000. Canada’s goal is to win at least 19 medals of any colour and a top 12 finish in terms of overall medals won.
