The busy holiday season can become overwhelming--especially for those of us with an already jam-packed schedule. If you're still not ready to celebrate the holidays, check out these helpful hacks for last-minute festivity prep!
The gift of re-giftingDid you just find out an unexpected guest would be joining your festivities? If there's still one or two people on your list that you don't have a gift for, re-gifting is the perfect, pressed-for-time solution. A gift card you never used, a box of candy you received from your boss, a bottle of wine sitting untouched on the rack--anything unopened and unused can make the perfect gift for a loved one in a pinch.
Wrapping paper gift bags
No time to fuss over meticulously wrapped gifts? Rather than drop more money on gift bags (which are probably close to sold out at this point) you can simply
create your own bags out of wrapping paper. All you need is scissors and tape, and you can quickly fold your way into easily wrapped gifts!
Avoid new recipesIf you're hosting the holidays at your home and you still haven't hit the grocery store, it's best to stick with a meal you've prepared several times. Attempting new recipes when you're short on time could result in disaster. Plan your menu (keep it simple) and make a list of everything you'll need before shopping to keep your trip stream-lined as possible.
DIY table decorNo time to put together an elaborate centerpiece for your holiday gathering? Fill glass vases and dishes with pine cones, candy canes, glass ornaments, or any festive holiday trinkets you have lying around for simple, DIY table decor.
