A new poll conducted by the
Angus Reid Institute has determined that for Canadians -- especially those living in Alberta and New Brunswick -- economic anxiety is on the rise.
Important issues facing Canada
According to those surveyed, the top two most important issues Canadians are facing include the state of the economy (47 percent) and jobs and unemployment (22 percent).
45 percent of Albertans and 42 percent of New Brunswickers polled felt strongest about the economic issue, admitting their standard of living has declined in recent years due to falling oil prices.
Back in December, terrorism was the second most important issue for Canadians, but that has dropped to sixth place at 9 percent while economic issues have risen 10 percent.
