Do you have the guts to live in a house haunted by someone who died there? For most people, the answer is no way. There is just too much bad energy and juju for them to live comfortably among any ghosts, both literally and figuratively that haunt the place. But for a select few, buying a house with a horrific past is just too good a deal to pass up. Or, it could be a dream home for a true crime buff. Either way, there are definitely a few pretty solid reasons to move into a '
murder house.'
Super steep discounts
Trying to save a few bucks? Buy a murder home! If you're shopping for a home on a budget, the more macabre residences can be discounted around 10-15 percent. And, if the crime involved a celebrity, or was so bad it made the news, you could snap up the home for up to 50 percent off!
Changing the home's evil karma
Some homeowners hope that by moving their families into these homes they can change the bad karma surrounding them. They want to bring joy and happiness into these places that are swathed in darkness. They aren't affected by the history and are willing to create their own.
Business opportunities
Sometimes, these haunted homes can become big tourist attractions. The owners of the homes open them to the public for them to come in and do their own investigation and meet the ghosts that roam the halls.
True crime junkies
Some people who don't need a financial incentive to purchase one of these homes. There will always be those who get a thrill out of living inside these grisly pieces of history and mingling with the ghosts.
