Simple Cleaning Hacks to Make Your Home Sparkle

Does cleaning make you cringe? Keeping a pristine home is tiring, tedious, and time-consuming. Luckily, these helpful hacks will make keeping your home spotless, simple, and fuss-free!

Simple Cleaning Hacks for a Spotless Home

Remove pet hair with a squeegee. Dragging this water-wiping tool across your floors will easily gather up pet hair so you can collect it and dispose.

Clean your blender easily. Fill your blender with warm water and a drop of dish detergent. Turn it on the blend setting for several seconds and rinse well. Let the blender dry without the lid to avoid mildew or mold growth.

Clean your microwave with vinegar. Scrub crusty microwave stains no more--just fill a microwave-safe bowl with one to two cups of water, two tablespoons of white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil. Put the bowl in the microwave and set it for five minutes. The steam will loosen food particles so you can simply wipe the inside clean with a moist towel.

Clean glasses with vinegar and paper towels. Keep glasses spot-free by soaking several paper towels in white vinegar, wringing out the excess and wiping them down to eliminate unsightly film. Then rinse and dry.

Remove stains from microfiber with alcohol. Fill a spray bottle with alcohol and spray the stained area liberally. Use a white sponge (coloured ones could transfer the dye onto your furniture) to rub the stain off of the fabric. Once the area dries, use a white bristle brush to smooth the fibers.

Remove water rings from wood with a hair dryer. Did a guest forget a coaster? Use a towel to soak up excess water, then set your hair dryer on high and blast the area with heat.

Scrub the tub with grapefruit and salt. Get rid of unsightly stains and tubs rings naturally--sprinkle the inside of your tub liberally with salt, halve a grapefruit and scrub the salt into the tub using the fruit to make the rings vanish.

Clean shower heads without scrubbing. Get your shower head spotless over night! Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and tie it around your shower head, using twist ties or a rubber band to secure it in place. The next morning, simply run cold water through your shower to rinse away gunky buildup that loosened overnight. Eliminate stubborn remainders with a toothbrush dipped in vinegar.
