If you have just moved into a new apartment, you might be eager to show it off. While planning a soiree can be more challenging in the limited space of an apartment, you can still celebrate your new place with your friends and family with these helpful and easy tips!
Make sure you're settled in
Unpacking, decorating, and setting up your apartment just how you want it takes time. Make sure to give yourself enough to thoroughly clean and organize your apartment before taking on the task of throwing a party.
Keep food simpleHaving an extravagant sit down dinner doesn't work very well in an apartment housewarming--you may have a small dining table and less room to prepare a big meal. Hold the party after dinner hours and provide finger food and
hors d'oeuvres for your guests to enjoy as they stand and mingle during the party.
Have alternative seatingYour apartment may lack sufficient seating options to accommodate your guests. Use stools, ottomans, or even large pillows on the floor to create additional seating without taking up too much space.
Party-proofRemove breakables to avoid any mishaps caused by intoxicated guests bumping into things. Apartments tend to be tight quarters, and after a few drinks your guests may become less agile!
