| We chose this as a family run business and expected to be well treated, total baloney. One year later and we are still disputing the damage . I accept that we never took extra insurance, but if the items had been packaged , as promised in big blankets ( it was in Calgary but not when delivered out of Troys storeage facility) instead of being delivered in black plastic garbage bags our furniture might have stood half a chance. What I am still disputing is the fact that the driver got his vehicle stuck on our driveway and drove into the house several times , damaging the garage, the front portch and drove over the water well. Our driveway was damaged when the tow truck dragged the vehicle out. Also after unloading our slate from our pool table which we had professionaly packaged ( not by Troy) the driver drove into that damaging the slate which alone cost 1000 bucks to replace. Troys answer to this of course is that we never took extra insurance, which is garbage, the insurance only covers the good on the truck there is nothing about drivers causing damage. Of course they wont give us the 300 bucks unless we agree not to pursue costs to the property damage. They are very polite but don't let them fool you, rutheless and uncaring. We had 8 staff at Calgary and 2 at Halifax, those guys were exhaused from driving and were here 12 hours and still had to drive another 3 hours to do another delivery, cheap labour. Avoid them at all costs your furniture will be in bits !!!!!!!!!! |
