If you have a large bathroom, count your blessings. For those who aren’t as lucky, you need to figure out the best way to utilize the space. While you are making the most of your space, you’ll also want it to look nice. People are sometimes afraid of DIY projects. Either they think they will mess it up or it’ll be too hard to do. But fear not! Here at TopMoving.ca, we have figured out some easy DIY projects to spice up the décor in your bathroom.
Embellish the shower curtain
You may not think it, but your shower curtain is like a huge art piece. There are so many designs and patterns, you can purchase one to match a theme, or just a pattern you like. But sometimes really nice shower curtains are expensive. An easy DIY is to embellish a shower curtain. You just need to purchase a fabric shower curtain (in your price range). Then some ribbon and fabric glue. Then go wild and make a border or a design with the ribbon. This will also work with bath towels.
Crate shelves
Crates are great storage bins. They can be painted any color and they are lightweight. But if you keep them on the ground, that is taking up precious floor space. So you should hang them on the walls. Just nail the bottom of the crate to the wall. The crates can hold towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Not only will they be functional, they will also be fashionable!
Recycle towel mat
If you have old towels that are still nice but not worth tossing, you could make a recycle towel bath mat. You just need three to four towels, a cutting mat, scissor, and sewing materials. Cut each towel into strips (about three inches). Line up the towels, cut of the border, and sew the top together. Then braid the three strips. Attach more strips and braid those until you run out of towels. Twist the braided rope into a coil and sew together. This easy DIY will reuse old items and it’s a cute addition to your bathroom. You can see the full instructions here.
Repurpose a ladder
If you go to a garage sale or a thrift store, you should be able to find an old wooden ladder for cheap. You just need to sand it and paint it whatever color you want. Now it turns into a towel holder! Just place towels through the rungs. It’s a great way to hold your towels without taking up a lot of space. You can also hang little buckets to the rungs to hold your brushes or hair styling tools. This is affordable and a very easy DIY project for your bathroom.
Tile decals
To spice up your bathroom tiles, you can purchase tile decals. These are easy to install, so anyone could do it. The decals come in a variety of sizes, colors, and styles. You can search for animals or floral designs. You just have to stick them on. Tile decals are a lot cheaper than replacing the actual titles. They will give your bathroom a unique twist and people will be talking about them for days to come.
