Harley Queen and Other Comic Characters Top List of Most Searched Costumes in Canada

DC Comics' supervillian Harley Quinn, featured in the upcoming film Suicide Squad, tops the list of Canadian citizens' most searched Halloween costumes this year, according to data provided by Google Canada.

Of the top 18 costumes searched, 11 are film characters--five of which are comic book heroes or villains made popular in recent films. Following Harley Quinn in the top three are Baymax--a superhero in the Marvel Comics Universe and star of the Disney flick Big Hero 6, and the Joker--Batman's nemesis making a resurgence in popularity with next summer's Suicide Squad release.

Other popular choices include Dalmatian killer Cruella Deville (a surprising inclusion since the 101 Dalmatians franchise has not been recently remade or reboot), Marvel comic antihero Deadpool, and politically incorrect GOP candidate Donald Trump.
