Easy DIY Ideas to Decorate Your Thanksgiving Table This Weekend

Are you hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your home this weekend? Besides slaving away to prepare a perfect turkey with all the fixings, you also want to wow your guests with your creative and festive table setting! These simple DIY ideas will add a little fun holiday decor to your Thanksgiving dinner party.

Pumpkin candle holders.

Add atmosphere to your spread by transforming miniature pumpkins into adorable candle holders! Carefully remove the stems from the pumpkins. Using a hand drill, drill a small hole about a half an inch deep in the top of your mini pumpkin. Insert a votive or long taper candle to add a little flickering warmth and class to your table settings.

Add a little shimmer. Make your festive table sparkle with metallic gold spray paint. Create centerpieces with shimmery gold-sprayed gourds, branches, and pine cones for an appeal that’s both contemporary and rustic.

Fall foliage napkin ties. Get elegant with ties for your linen napkins.  Thread satin ribbon (in a rich fall color like deep orange, cranberry or chocolate brown) through tiny holes made in acorns or tie them around the stem or branch of other fall foliage. Loosely tie the ribbon around your rolled up cloth napkin and set your table for a simple yet classic presentation.
