Canada set to have record-warm spring in 2016

After a relatively mild winter due to El Nino, unusually high temperatures are expected through April and May in most of Canada, except Labrador and Northern Quebec.

Senior Climatologist Dave Phillips told CTV News Channel that Environment Canada is predicting above-average conditions to continue.

"We're showing the conditions for spring as being warmer than normal," Phillips said. "The personality, temperature-wise, is going to be downright balmy."

The Weather Network also expects a "warm spring from coast to coast" However, the network expects Newfoundland and Labrador, northern Quebec, and Nunavut to experience normal spring weather.
