Make Something Edmonton Offers Grants to Best Winter-Friendly DIY Projects

via PixabayMake Something Edmonton--an organization that encourages citywide projects and activities to connect residents and shape the future--has launched a new campaign for the coming months. The organization is urging Edmontonians to pitch their best winter-friendly DIY projects for this year, offering grants of up to $2,500 for their favorite ones.

The people at Make Something Edmonton are looking for activities and events that can help the city's residents enjoy the cold weather a little more. The organization's marketing manager, Chris Gusen, said: "There's a lot of winter projects that you can do completely for free, but we want to see what people can do with a little bit of money as well." Now, they aren't going to be handing out these grants to just anyone; the winning ideas will have to be top-notch, and the winners must use the money by the end of March. According to Gusen, Make Something Edmonton set the tight deadline for a reason, intending to prove that a project can be put into practise more quickly than people think.

With the official application deadline fast approaching on January 22, Make Something Edmonton has made the grant application process as easy as possible. They've received over fifteen grant applications so far and anticipate more as we get closer to the deadline. So, if you've got an amazing winter-friendly DIY project idea, visit the Make Something Edmonton website and apply for a grant!
