Moving to a new city is exciting--but it can be pretty intimidating too! Meeting new people in an unfamiliar place is difficult--especially if you are naturally an introvert or moving alone. Check out these helpful tips for establishing a social life after you move.

Use social media

With social media it's easier than ever to connect with others. Interactive dating apps and networking websites are an excellent tool for meeting people when you are new to an area. There are various groups on Facebook and other social media outlets for newcomers to different cities to socialize and form friendships. Remember to be cautious when meeting strangers online--always set a public place for your first get together.

Join a club
To meets others with similar interests, join a club, class or other organization. Sign up for a local gym membership, take a cooking class, or volunteer at the local animal shelter.
