Travelling Hacks to Make Packing for Your Upcoming Vacation Easy and Stress-Free

It's vacation season! If you are planning an upcoming getaway this spring or summer, you know how stressful it can be to pack for travelling. Luckily, these simple hacks will make your vacation planning easy and stress-free!

Helpful Hacks for Travel

1. Wrap shoes in a shower cap. Keep dirt and grime from your shoes' soles off of your clean clothes by covering each pair with a shower cap before packing them in your suitcase.

2. Store chargers in an eyeglass case. Sick of tangled wires in your luggage? Keep your phone, laptop, tablet, mp3 player and camera chargers neat and organized inside eyeglass or sunglass cases.

3. Roll your clothes. Save space and prevent wrinkles by rolling your clothes instead of folding them. This eliminates creases and frees up extra room in your suitcase.

4. Pack jewellery in a pill container. Small earrings and rings are easily lost when travelling. Keep pieces separate and organized in a pill or vitamin case.

5. Use straws to pack necklaces. To keep chains tangle-free, insert one end of the necklace through a straw until it emerges out the other end. Clasp the necklace, and place into a zip-top bag.

6. Carry makeup or lotion in a contact case. To save space when traveling, it's a good idea not to lug your entire cosmetic collection with you. Use an old contact case to carry small amounts of lotion, facial moisturizer, concealer, liquid foundation, and anti-aging serums.

7. Hide valuables in empty lotion bottles. Conceal valuables like cash, jewellery, credit cards, IDs or electronics in an empty lotion bottle. Cut off the top third portion of the bottle and thoroughly rinse out any lotion remnants. Stash your belongings inside and place the top back on. This hack works particularly well for hiding valuables on the beach in a sunscreen bottle.

8. Protect your compacts with cotton balls. The slightest rattle can shatter your delicate pressed powders and eye shadows. To keep them intact, place a cotton ball on top of the powder and close the compact tightly. The soft cotton will protect your makeup and prevent it from breaking.
