Considering a move to Prince Edward Island? Whether you're planning a move or already reside in this maritime province, it's never to late to brush up on our knowledge of PEI!

The province of Prince Edward Island is made up of the island of the same name along with a few other smaller islands and is the only province to have no land boundary. It is also the smallest region in terms of land area and population (estimated to be around 146,000 people).

The 104th largest island in the world, Prince Edward Island is Canada's 23rd largest island. Referred to as the Garden of the Gulf and the Birthplace of the Confederation (or the Cradle of Confederation), PEI is responsible for 25 percent of Canada's potatoes and is considered the sister province of the Hainan Province in China.

Renowned for its lush landscapes, the area inspired PEI-born Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series and is a popular tourist spot for rest and relaxation thanks to its beaches and the laid back attitude of the locals.
