Quebec is Getting a Limited-Edition Metallica Beer from Budweiser

Budweiser has teamed up with the metal band Metallica to make a limited-edition beer which will be sold exclusively in Quebec. Ask not for whom the beer tolls; it tolls for thee.

The beer itself was created to commemorate the closing of the Colisée de Québec and the opening of the larger indoor arena the Centre Vidéotron. The band closed out both the old venue and the new arena with shows.

So what makes their beer different from regular run-of-the-mill Budweiser? According to a press release, a truck full of the branded beer was brought to the Centre Vidéotron opening concert, where "sonic vibrations from Metallica's music [were] infused into the liquid, creating the rock and roll recipe."

The Metallica brand beer -- which bears the tagline "Coulée dans le rock" (Cast in Rock) -- will get a limited release of less than 100,000 cases. It will go on sale starting September 28.
