When you're planning your move to university--whether you'll be living in a dorm room or apartment building--you want to make sure you pack the right amount of stuff. You definitely don't want to pack too much for your move, because then your dorm will be cluttered and difficult to navigate. At the same time, you want to bring all of your essential items so you don't have to break the bank once you settle in.
How do you identify what's essential?
Pack the items you absolutely need first. Then, if you have room, move on to the items you don't think you can live without. Essential items may vary from student to student, but there are some common dorm room necessities you'll want to keep in mind during the packing process.
