Being on a
boat adds a different element to your travels. Whether it's because of the unobstructed view or the fresh air and breeze, boating tours are a great way to explore a new place. Most of Canada's top attractions are on the water so this is the perfect way to get around and sightsee. On your next trip, try taking a boat out to some of these beautiful places.
Toronto Islands
The ferry boats only cost a few dollars and take five to 10 minutes, but you'll be treated to an amazing view of the Toronto skyline. Wards Island has the entrance to the Toronto Harbour where you can see the funky island homes with great views.
Victoria Ferry Harbour Boat
The ferry stops at various spots around the bay to point out birds' nests and give you close-up views of the houseboats around the harbour. You also get to see the parliament building and the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel.
Moraine Lake Lodge
For a gorgeous view of the Rockies, pick up a canoe for a half hour and cruise around the lake. Check out the mountains that rise up into the sky and the waterfall that sits at one end of the lake.
Charlottetown Boat Tours
Prince Edward Island has a major shopping attraction away from the water, but you have several options to tour the harbour. Take a Peaks Wharf Boat Tour, a Saga Sailing Adventure, or a lobster excursion with Top Notch Charters.
Quebec Gorges
The Parc national des Hautes-Georges-de-la-Riviere-Malbaie is just a few hours away from Quebec City. Narrated boat tours take you past towering cliffs where the eagles fly and rock formations shaped lie animals.
